Starting from marble to granite to limestone, natural stone comes with a variety of options. This also comes in planks, tiles and mosaics backed by a mesh to hold them together. This is quite hard, resilient to wear, durable and also waterproof.
But it has several drawbacks. Although it provides a luxurious finish to the bathroom, the biggest setback is, it is extremely costly. It is also difficult to install or replace it by yourself. Further, it is also quite slippery, in standing waters. But this can still be minimised by grout patterns and a rough finish applied to it. Also, regular maintenance of the sealant is necessary to protect the stone finish and prevent penetration of dirt or moisture.
